Bournemouth will host Leeds United in a Premier League fixture at Vitality Stadium on Sunday. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 1-0 win away to rock bottom side Southampton in the mid-week, while Leeds played out a 1-1 draw against Leicester City. The victory helped the Cherries to move to 14th spot in the English top flight standings, having collected 36 points from 33 games. The visitors meanwhile, are sitting three places behind Bournemouth, trailing by six points and just a solitary point clear of the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Leeds secured a thrilling 4-3 win over Bournemouth in the reverse fixture in November last year courtesy of Rodrigo’s third-minute opener and second-half efforts from Sam Greenwood, Liam Cooper and Crysencio Summerville.

Bournemouth secured their tenth league-win of the season against Southampton on Thursday night thanks to Marcus Tavernier’s lone goal five minutes into the second half. The Cherries have now won three of their last four matches, and the good run of form has helped them move seven points away from the drop zone. Victory at St Mary’s remarkably represents a third top flight away win on the bounce for Bournemouth following previous successes at Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City, but last weekend, they were thrashed 4-0 by West Ham United at Vitality Stadium. After the game against Leeds, Gary O’Neil’s side will take on Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Manchester United before ending the campaign at Everton.
Leeds, on the other hand, have a tough set of final five fixtures awaiting them. After the trip to Vitality Stadium, the whites will play away to reigning champions Manchester City, before hosting third-placed Newcastle United, and then will end the season with away and home matches against West Ham and European challengers Spurs respectively. The Peacocks shared the spoils against Leicester last time out despite taking the lead through Luis Sinisterra’s 20th-minute effort. The result ended their three-game losing streak. The Whites have won only seven Premier League-games this term and their recent success came against Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
