Blackburn have made an impressive start to their 2022-23 Championship campaign, recording four wins to pocket 12 points, just two behind leaders Sheffield United. In their recent outing against Blackpool, the Rovers secured all three points courtesy of Ben Brereton Diaz’s lone strike in the 16th-minute. Prior to that, the Riverside Rovers lost to Stoke City with a scoreline of 1-0. Bristol City, on the other hand, got the better of Huddersfield in their recent outing. Nahki Wells put the Robins ahead inside the opening 35 minutes before Antoine Semenyo doubled the lead, ten minutes from time to seal the win. It was Cider Army’s third league victory of the campaign, the previous two were against Cardiff City and Luton Town with an identical scoreline of 2-0.
Blackburn Rovers players Callum Brittain and Sammie Szmodics are sidelined with injuries. Last game’s goal-scorer Diaz is likely to be deployed up front alongside Hedges, Dack and Dolan. As for Bristol City, head coach Nigel Pearson is unlikely to make too many changes for Saturday’s game. Conway and Wells are likely to be the strike-partners with Weimann operating behind them in a free role.
