Watford will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the Championship when they face Birmingham City on Tuesday. They will be visiting St Andrew’s full of confidence after managing two wins and a draw in their opening three games. Despite being the away side, they will fancy their chances following their early season form. However, the same cannot be said for Birmingham, who have had a mixed set of results till now. Hence, the supporters can expect an even battle on Tuesday when these two sides go head-to-head with each other.

Sitting currently second in the table, Watford’s start to life in Championship has been quite impressive. Having started with a win over Sheffield United, they drew at West Bromwich Albion before beating Burnley in their last match. All three were tricky fixtures, but Watford found a way to get past them in impressive fashion. On the other hand, Birmingham City started the Championship season with a draw against Luton Town before edging past Huddersfield Town. However, they lost their last game at Cardiff City. Hence, they will be keen to bounce back quickly on Tuesday.

Possible Lineups

Watford have to deal with a lot of absentees ahead of this clash. They will have to make do without Emmanuel Dennis, who has joined Nottingham Forest, while defender Samir has also left the club. Centre-forward Samuel Kalu will miss the match for another few weeks and will be joined on the sidelines by Tom Dele-Bashiru and Imran Louza. Besides, Hassane Kamara will miss the game due to suspension. On the other hand, Birmingham do not seem to have any fresh injury concerns ahead of this match.
