Beijing Guoan will play host to Shenzhen in a Chinese super League fixture at Wuhua Hengpi Football Town on Tuesday. The hosts are heading into the tie on the back of a 2-2 draw at Meizhou Hakka on Friday, while Shenzhen defeated Shijiazhuang Ever Bright 1-0 last time out. The victory helped the visitors to move to the fifth spot in the standings with nine points from 4 games, just four points behind leaders Wuhan Three Town FC. Meanwhile Beijing Guoan are at the seven spot, two points adrift of Shenzhen. Both teams have had a decent start to the domestic season, losing just one of their opening four games and will be aiming to secure a win at the Workers stadium and close the gap on the three pacesetters.
Beijing Guoan began the new season with a 2-1 loss to Shijiazhuang Ever Bright before getting their acts together to get the better of Chengdu Rongcheng in a five-goal thriller. And then, the 2019- runner-ups edged past Tianjin Reda courtesy of Marko Dabro’s lone goal which came four minutes from time. In the last match, against Meizhou Hakka, Xie Feng’s side took an early two-goal lead courtesy of a brace from Zhang Yuning. Meanwhile Shenzhen’s first four fixtures have taken place at home, this game providing a different test as they travel to Beijing.

Therefore Zhang and Wang Ziming are expected to get a starting role on Tuesday. Zhang Yuning is expected to lead the attack alongside Wang Ziming.
