Bayern Munich vs Wolfsburg: Bundesliga Live Stream, Schedule, Fixture and Probable Lineups

Bayern Munich will host Wolfsburg in a Bundesliga fixture at Allianz Arena on Sunday. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a thumping 6-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening league match of the new season last Friday, while Wolfsburg played out a 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen a day later. Bayern are the current Bundesliga champions and would be aiming to retain their title, while Wolfsburg secured a disappointing 12th position in the standings last term and would be hoping to improve that, this time around.

Bayern netted six times against Frankfurt courtesy of a brace from Jamal Musiala and one goal each from Joshua Kimmich, Benjamin Pavard, Sadio Mane and Serge Gnabry. It was a dominant performance from Julien Nagelsmann’s side as they recorded 10 shots on target from 23 chances created. Meanwhile goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was undoubtedly bored at the other end by lack of action in the first half. However, after the break Randal Kolo netted a consolation goal for the hosts and denied a clean sheet for the German international.

Wolfsburg, on the other hand, shared the spoils against Werder Bremen courtesy of goals from Lukas Nmecha and Joshua Guilavogui. The Wolves would require a much better performance on Sunday to get anything at the home of the Bavarians. Niko Kovac’s side needs improvement in the attacking third and increase the number of attempts on goal. For the amount of ball possession they have, the Wolves aren’t creating enough goal-scoring opportunities. 

Probable Lineups

Bayern boss Nagelsmann is unlikely to make too many changes to the side that thrashed Frankfurt last week. Mane, Gnabry and Muller would form the front-three with Musiala also joining them as and when possible. Kimmich and Sabitzer could sit in front of the back-four. Central defender Matthijs de Ligt is likley to start on the bench. As for Wolfsburg, Yannick Gerhardt and Jonas Wind are sidelined with injuries. Marmoush and Nmecha and Patrick Wimmer could form the front-three.
