Aston Villa will be keen to get used to their new manager as they prepare for another mid-season friendly against Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday. Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery replaced Steven Gerrard as Villa manager in late October. There has been an immediate improvement in the play style and the mood around the club since his arrival. However, it is still early days and the former Villarreal boss will hope to make the most of this unusual winter break to help the players get used to his methods.
This will be the second friendly for Aston Villa this month. They were beaten 3-1 by Cardiff City last week. They also have a few more warm-up games lined up this month to help the players acclimatise to the new manager’s tactics.
