Arsenal will be keen to build on their positive start to the Premier League season when they face Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The Gunners began the season with a solid performance against Crystal Palace, while the Foxes blew away a 2-0 lead last weekend. The result would have been a big blow for Leicester as they are already being criticised for their lack of summer activity. Meanwhile, Arsenal have made some smart signings and their overall performance in the pre-season has been encouraging. Hence, their fans can be highly optimistic going into the new season.

The Gunners were really close to getting the fourth spot in the Premier League last season. However, a poor run of form in the business end of the campaign cost them the Champions League place. Nonetheless, they started the new season on a good note, winning 2-0 away at Crystal Palace last weekend. Meanwhile, Leicester City were cruising at one point against Brentford, taking a 2-0 lead. However, a second-half collapse saw Leicester settling for a 2-2 draw.

Possible Lineups

There are a few fitness concerns among the Arsenal ranks ahead of this clash. It is not clear whether the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Fabio Vieira and Takehiro Tomiyasu are fit enough to play on Saturday. Even if they are ready to play, it is unclear whether they will start or come off the bench. On a positive front, Kieran Tierney coming as a substitute against Crystal Palace last weekend will be good news for the Gunners.

Meanwhile, Leicester City have come under immense fire from their own fans for the lack of transfer activity. Not only they have struggled to sign players, but there are a lot of interests surrounding the likes of Wesley Fofana, James Maddison and Youri Tielemans. Hence, it will be interesting to see if they will let any of their star players leave in this window. On thing is clear, they have to make do without the services of Hamza Choudhury, who left for Watford on loan. Besides, Ricardo Pereira is set to be out for a long period of time and he is joined on the sidelines by Harvey Barnes and Ryan Bertrand.

Arsenal possible line-up: Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Xhaka, Partey, Odegaard, Saka, Smith Rowe, Jesus

Leicester City possible line-up: Ward, Fofana, Amartey, Evans, Castagne, Ndidi, Tielemans, Justin, Maddison, Dewsbury-Hall, Vardy
