Arsenal will host Bodo/Glimt in a UEFA Europa League fixture at Emirates stadium on Thursday night. The Gunners’ fixture against PSV Eindhoven on September 15 was suspended following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Therefore, Mikel Arteta’s side are occupying second position in Group A, having collected all three points from one Europa League game thus far. Bodo/Glimt, meanwhile, are sitting at the summit of Group A, with four points from two games. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League match on Saturday, while the Norwegian outfit thrashed Lillestrom 4-1 in their domestic league fixture on the same day.

The Gunners kicked off their Europa League campaign with a 2-1 win over FC Zurich courtesy of goals from Marquinhos and Eddie Nketiah. Meanwhile, in the Domestic circuit, Arteta’s side have been in stunning form, having won seven of their opening eight games to collect 20 points and occupy top spot in the Premier League standings. Last time out against Spurs, Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka netted for the Gunners to secure all three points.

Bodo/Glimt, on the other hand, netted four times against Lillestrom through Ulrik Saltnes, Runar Espejord, Hugo Vetlesen and Amahl Pellegrino, to secure the victory. It was the Yellow Horde’s 13th Eliteserien win of the season in 24 games. The Lightning are currently sitting at the second spot in the Norwegian top flight standings, having collected 45 points thus far, 15 behind leaders Molde. In the continental stage, Bodo/Glimt started off with a 1-1 draw against PSV before getting the better of FC Zurich 2-1 last month.
