Argentinos Juniors will host Arsenal Sarandi in an Argentine Primera Division fixture at Estadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday. The home side are heading into the tie on the back of a narrow 1-0 loss at leaders Newell’s, while Arsenal Sarandi were held to a 1-1 draw by Talleres Cordoba in their previous match. Argentinos are sitting at the 17th spot in the 28-team table with six points from four games, while the visitors are languishing at the 26th place only above Barracas Central and Aldosivi, still searching for their first win of the campaign.

Argentinos Juniors started their campaign with a 2-1 victory against Aldosivi before losing 1-0 to Sarmeinto. Gabriel Milito’s side got back to winning ways on the third matchday, when they edged past Independiente 2-1. However, in their previous match, Newell’s got the better of them courtesy of Willer Ditta’s lone goal in the 6th minute. In the opening four games, El Bicho have scored and conceded four goals. Milito’s side suffered both their defeats away from home therefore would be pleased to return to home turf, where they won their two games this season.
Arsenal Sarandi, on the other hand, shared the spoils against Talleres Cordoba after Sebastian Lomonaco’s opener was canceled out by Gonzalo Goni’s own goal. Prior to that, Leandro Madelon’s side played out a thrilling 3-3 draw against San Lorenzo. From the opening four games, El Arse have recorded one defeat and three draws. A victory on Sunday will help the visitors to move level on points with their hosts.

Argentinos Juniors could miss the services of Pablo Minissale and Kevin Mac Allister due to injuries. Gabriel Avalos, who was forced off the pitch against Newell’s Old Boys is doubtful for the next game. Therefore Avalos could come into the starting eleven to join Florentin up front. As for Arsenal Sarandi, Axel Werner is sidelined with injury. Last game’s goal-scorer Lomacano could lead the attack alongside Colman.
