Antoine Griezmann is a French professional footballer who plays as a forward for Atlético Madrid, on loan from Barcelona, and the France national team. He is often known for his attacking and passing skills along with his ability to score important goals.
He first began his career playing for his hometown club Mâcon. He impressed a number of clubs like – Paris Saint-Germain and Real Sociedad. However, the Spanish club caught his attention most and Griezmann similarly signed a youth contract with the Basque club. Later on, he spent five amazing years with Real Sociedad from 2009 to 2014 – which was his career breakthrough. He won the Segunda División in his first season and made over 150 appearances.
In 2014, he joined Atlético Madrid for a then-club record of €30 million. Griezmann then went on to have an exceptional career by being trained under Diego Simeone. He got his hands on titles like the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the Supercopa de España. During his time with Atletico Madrid, Griezmann was in his prime – netting over 100 goals in a total of over 200 appearances.
Further, in 2019 Griezmann went on to be the fifth-most expensive player of all time after a transfer to Barcelona worth €120 million. He scored 35 goals for the Catalan giants by making 102 appearances and won the 2021 Copa del Rey Final – where he scored the first goal in a 4–0 victory over Athletic Bilbao, before returning to Atlético Madrid in 2021.

The Frenchman even has several accolades such as the Silver Boot – for being the second-highest goal scorer, as France won the 2018 FIFA World Cup; and a Bronze Ball as the tournament’s third-best player.
