Almeria participated in three friendlies this summer, starting with a loss to Cordoba, before getting the better of San Fernando and Cartagena. In their most recent outing, Alejandro Pozo’s lone strike was enough to secure the win. La Union have bolstered their squad by signing Kaiky, Fernando Pacheco, Houboulang Mendes and Alejandro Pozo. Almeria spent seven seasons in the second division of Spanish football before finally earning promotion to the top division last term.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, have been very quiet in the transfer market, central defender Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea and Aurelien Tochouameni have been the two signings so far.
