Platense have started the second phase of the Argentine Primera Division on the front foot, winning two and drawing the other game.
Aldosivi will be looking to get their first points of the new season when they host in-form Platense in the second phase of the Argentine Primera Division on Tuesday. The match at the Estadio Jose Maria Minella will hold huge significance for both teams for contrasting reasons. Tuesday’s hosts are currently lying at the bottom of the table, having not been able to get a single point so far in the new campaign. Meanwhile, Platense are unbeaten after playing three games and are in contention to go atop the table.
Platense have started the second phase of the Argentine Primera Division on the front foot, winning two and drawing the other game. They started the tournament with narrow victories over Godoy Cruz and Velez Sarsfield in the opening two encounters before being held to a 1-1 draw against Gimnasia in the last game. They have seven points from three games and are only two points behind leaders Boca Juniors, who have played an additional match.

On the other hand, Aldosivi could not have asked for a worse start than they are now having. Placed bottom of the league with zero points, they have lost all three games in the second phase of the Argentine Primera Division so far. All three were narrow defeats, however, the worry is they have scored only one goal but have conceded four already. Aldosivi have to be at the top of their game against an in-form Platense to end their miserable start to the new campaign.
There are a few injuries and suspension concerns for both sides to deal with ahead of their Tuesday battle. Platense striker Nicolas Delgadillo could very well miss the upcoming clash with an injury. He came off with an injury during their match against Godoy Cruz earlier this month. Besides, Brian Mansilla’s spell on the sidelines could continue owing to a knee concern he suffered a couple of months ago. On the other hand, the home side will be without Laquidain, who got sent off during the defeat to Patronato in the last match. Federico Milo could be the favourite to replace him in the starting lineup.
Aldosivi possible line-up: Devecchi, Lucero, Boolsen, Lopez, Milo, Cerro, Meli, Pisano, Martinez, Martinez, Silva
Platense possible line-up: Ledesma, Morgantini, Suso, Diaz, Pignani, Villalba, Infante, Schor, Gomez, Zarate, Bergessio
