Real Madrid produced a dominant performance against Al Ahly to secure a 4-1 win in the second semi-final of the Club World Cup on Wednesday night. The result helped Los Blancos to set up a title decider against Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal on Saturday. Vinicius Jr. Federico Valverde, Rodrygo and Sergio Arribas found the back of the net for the La Liga giants at the sold-out Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium in the Moroccan capital, Rabat in the mid-week. Meanwhile Al Ahly will play Copa Libertadores champions Flamengo in the third-place playoff on Saturday.ย

Real Madrid are now just one victory away from securing their fifth World title and first one since 2018. The reigning Champions League winner broke the deadlock three minutes before the break, when Vinicius Jr capitalised on a defensive error, lofted the ball over an advancing Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohammed El Shenawy and into the back of the net. Los Blancos doubled the lead immediately after the restart when Luka Modric played through Rodrygo, although theย Brazilianโs effort was denied by the Egyptian gloveman, the rebound fell to Valverde, who calmly slotted home from inside the box.ย
The Egyptian outfit pulled one back in the 65th-minute, when Ali Maaloul converted a penalty kick, after El Shahat was brought down inside the box by Camavinga. But the Spaniards restored the two goal lead in the 92nd minute, when Rodryo played a nice little one-two with Valverde inside the box, before calmly slotting home past El Shenawy. Six minutes later, substitute Arribas put the icing on the cake with a fine strike from inside the penalty area. The result could have been worse as Luka Modric was denied from the penalty spot by El Shenawy.ย
