Ajax, however, can take some comfort from Liverpool’s form this season. Jurgen Klopp’s side were expected to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title, however, it has not gone according to the plan for them so far in the league. The Reds are placed eight in the table, with 16 points from 11 games. They are heading into this contest after losing to bottom-placed Nottingham Forest at the weekend. However, in the reverse fixture, Liverpool defeated Ajax 2-1 earlier in the group.
