Milan began their season on a positive note by getting the better of Udinese 4-2 on August 13 before sharing the spoils against Atalanta a week later. At Grewiss stadium, Ruslan Malinovskyi’s opener was canceled out by Ismael Bennacer to share the points. Milan had dominated the proceedings, recording 60% ball possession and attempting seven shots on target compared to just two by Atalanta.

Bologna, on the other hand, started their season with a 2-1 defeat to Lazio on August 14 before earning a point against Verona. At Renato Dall’Ara, Marko Arnautovic gave the lead to the Red and Blues before Thomas Henry equalised for Veora. Meanwhile, Riccardo Orsolini received a red card 12 minutes from time.
Milan boss Pioli is unlikely to make too many changes to the side that played out a draw against Atalanta. Ante Rebic is likely to lead the line with Rafael Leao, De Ketelaere and Alexis Saelemaekers in support. Bennacer and Tonali could pull the strings in the midfield. As for Bologna, Adama Soumaoro has recovered from an injury and is expected to join Medel and Bonifazi in the three-man defence. Barrow might join Arnautovic up front.
AC Milan probable starting lineup: Maignan, Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Hernandez, Bennacer, Tonali, Saelemaekers, De Ketelaere, Leao, Rebic
Bologna probable starting lineup: Skorupski, Soumaoro, Medel, Bonifazi, De Silvestri, Dominguez, Schouten, Cambiaso, Soriano, Barrow, Arnautovic.
The Serie A match between AC Milan and Bologna will take place at San siro on Sunday at 12:15 am IST.
