With Prema Racing, he won the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2019, the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2020, and the Driver’s Formula 2 Championship in 2021. Piastri began karting in 2011 and went pro in 2014, competing in a variety of Australian races and competitions. Piastri joined Ricky Flynn Motorsport in 2015 and began participating in European and foreign CIK-FIA sanctioned karting competitions, finishing sixth in the 2016 World Championship in Bahrain.
