Fernando Alonso expressed disappointment that the field was not more tightly closed by the updated technical regulations that were imposed for 2022. Everyone’s realisation that things haven’t altered significantly was somewhat discouraging, he said in an interview with Auto Motor und Sport. “As in prior years, there are only a maximum of two teams that are capable of winning races. “The midfield is still too far behind the top two or three teams. We are one lap behind the winner in 50% of the races. As a result, the outcome that Formula 1 hoped to accomplish with the restart of the rules has not yet been realised. 17 of the 22 races held this year were won by Red Bull. Mercedes’ lone triumph was all that stood between Red Bull and a clean sweep of the second half of the season, while Ferrari’s four victories all came in the first half of the season.

F1 Esports champion

Lucas Blakeley of McLaren Shadow was named the 2022 F1 Esports Series Pro Champion following the season’s 12th and final round at Yas Marina Circuit. In addition to McLaren clinching the teams’ championship, Blakeley, who finished fourth in the final race, won four races during his fourth season in the championship and first with the team. Prior to Thomas Ronhaar of Haas, Frederik Rasmussen, a championship candidate for Red Bull, won the penultimate race. Josh Idowu, the pole winner, finished third on the podium, and Blakeley finished fourth to win the race.
