The upcoming map rotation in Apex Legends season 17, Arsenal, maybe most important in the discussion of the game’s experienced players. While Apex hasn’t received a new map since Broken Moon’s release in November 2022, Respawn Entertainment has kept things interesting by rotating the maps in addition to making direct changes to the scenery.

Season 16 marked the beginning of Apex’s live map rotation coming into its own as Respawn began to move away from mid-season splits for ranked. Which maps are currently in rotation for Apex Legends season 17?

Three maps will rotate quickly at a time—every 24 hours in ranked and roughly every hour in pubs—instead of one being played for the duration of splits. The new map rotation for Apex Legends season 17 is shown below.

The map rotation for Apex’s casual and ranked battle royale modes at the start of season 17 is as follows, as revealed by Respawn on May 1:

  • World’s Edge
  • Olympus
  • Kings Canyon

The trio consists of the first three full-sized battle royale maps to be made available, with Kings Canyon making a notable comeback following a three-season absence. With the Arsenal update, World’s Edge, the last of the original three, is expected to receive the most attention thanks to several significant changes to its well-established POIs. Broken Moon and Storm Point, the two most recent additions to Apex, won’t be in the rotation for at least the first half of season 17.

Season 17: Arsenal has brought with it a new legend and several changes to this well-known map. Major changes have been made to Fragment East and West, and we now have Monument, a brand-new point of interest that features both a bunker on the ground floor and a sniper’s nest on its upper level. The infamous Streamer building has a new home, and Harvester and the Vault have also changed.

Skull Town, Fragment East, and Estates will continue to be the rotation for Gun Run for the foreseeable future. With the start of season 17 on May 9, new map rotations, the new legend Ballistic, and more will be accessible in Apex.
