Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) has played a major role in the rise of esports in the country. So far, every tournament has been a success as thousands of people from YouTube and LOCO flock to watch their favorite superstar’s battle against the top players of the country to emerge as champions. After seeing such a huge response from the audience, Crafton announced the roadmap for BGMI esports for 2022. While the ongoing BMOC has kicked things off for the season, the tournament will culminate in the upcoming Battleground Mobile Pro Series Season 1. Looking forward to the start of the tournament. However, no official announcement has been made by Crafton yet. When is BGMI tournament BMPS Season 1 expected to start?

Details regarding the upcoming BGMI esports tournament BMPS Season 1

Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series Season 1 (BMPS) will have a prize pool of Rs 2 crore, which will be the largest ever prize pool for any esports tournament in the country. The tournament is considered equivalent to the PUBG Mobile Pro Series (PMPL).
Based on the dates mentioned by Liquipedia, BMPS Season 1 is scheduled to start from 19th May and will continue till 12th June. While the tournament will begin with the league stages, which will run from May 19 to June 5, the final will be played. Between 9th June to 12th June.

BMOC Round 4 matches for the remaining groups

The invited and qualified BGMI teams in Group A and Group B played their matches on 11 May and 12 May respectively. The tournament was put on hold yesterday due to the release of a new 2.0 update to the game.
However, Group C and Group D matches are to be played today and tomorrow respectively.
