Emeralds are one of the most valuable items in Minecraft. They are essentially the only currency in the game that can be used between a single-player and a particular mob. When a new player enters the game, they mainly focus on finding diamonds because they are important and valuable. However, emeralds are the rarest minerals, and they are useful items in the game, especially for obtaining other valuable items from them. Emeralds are quite rare in the world of Minecraft in terms of their natural generation. They are usually found as ores and can be mined to be dropped as a commodity. However, there is a much easier way to get these emeralds with the help of a special mob.

The easiest way to get emeralds in Minecraft

Trading with Villagers

The best way to get emeralds in the game is to trade with villagers. Villagers are peaceful idle hordes who live in randomly generated villages in the overworld. These villages can originate in almost any biome and will have different looking villagers.

Once players are exposed to these crowds, they will notice that their behaviour is very similar to that of humans. Villagers sleep in their huts at night and work during the day. Some villagers have a special kind of work. These villagers can be identified by their appearance. Altogether there are 13 types of rural jobs that the crowd can have. Some jobs may also depend on the type of biome the villagers are in.

Once players find these mobs, they can interact with them by right-clicking on them. After right-clicking, a special UI interface will pop up where players will be able to see the type of villager and some of the trades they have to offer.

In business, they will also get to see some common items along with emeralds. Basically, if players give a certain amount of items to these villagers, they can get emeralds in return. For example, if a farmer is given some wheat items that players can easily grow or obtain from Hey Balls, they will receive an emerald in return.

Zombifying and curing villagers reduces trade prices

One trick for getting lots of emeralds is to intentionally turn villagers into zombies and fix them back to drive down trade prices. Villagers remember players who heal them and as a thank you, they can lower trade prices and even only pay one emerald per item. This can be done through a zombie by carefully attacking the villagers and turning them into zombie villagers, and then healing them back.
