Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players will be making it rain in season two. Infinity Ward and Raven Software have announced that changes to the cash economy are coming to Warzone 2 with the Season Two Update, responding to a change much requested by players since the game launched in November.

In short, there will be more money to find and the item will be priced slightly lower, making for a combination that’s sure to excite peons everywhere. For months, players have complained that there isn’t enough ground loot cash on the map, especially considering Warzone 2’s hefty price tags for things like loadout drops. Both of these things will soon change, and it is certain that many players are happier than they are currently feeling.

Now confirmed by Activision, Warzone 2 will accompany Season 2 with a new, smaller map. We may have already seen this new Warzone map in a leak that Activision is trying desperately to take down.

Infinity Ward and Raven have been teasing the season two update for weeks, first confirming the return of the one-versus-one Gulag and bringing back the loot system to pop out items from defeated enemies and loot containers, just as Since they used in Warzone 1. Warzone 2’s big update has gone live on February 15 to coincide with the launch of season two.

Fans of fast-paced gameplay will be happy to hear that the Resurrection mode from the original Warzone is returning in Warzone 2. This game mode often has a smaller area, and lets players respawn on their allies after a short countdown, as long as one of them survives. It’s a nice change of pace from the slower Battle Royale genre and fans are eager to get it – especially as it will come with a new map.

If the rumors are true, the new Resurrection map will be home to 50 player games as well as the DMZ and Ground War. Of course, this would also be the perfect opportunity for some Rebirth Island-style gameplay. Fans may also recognize some familiar locations, including another remake of the World at War’s Castle map.
