The new age of Call of Duty games offers players numerous ways to approach the title, be it the new DMZ mode, the long-awaited Warzone 2 experience, or the third-person view mode.

Third-person mode was promised in the new Modern Warfare 2 game, which is ideal since the mode officially launched with the original MW2 that hit the shelves in 2009. When third-person for the game was announced, several players hoped to see the new perspective making its way to Warzone 2 as well.

How to play third-person in Warzone 2?

Well, players don’t need to hope any longer as they will have the option of playing in third-person view in Warzone 2. But similar to MW2, the third-person mode isn’t something players can just switch to mid-game. In this article, we will discuss everything players should know about the third-person mode in Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 players will only be able to play in third-person mode if they queue up for matches in third-person-only playlists. It’s been a few days since the game came out, and currently, there is only one third-person exclusive playlist, namely third-person Trios.

It’s likely that more third-person playlists could be added to the game in the coming days, and it’s also likely that a free-perspective playlist that enables players to switch between first and third-person view would be coming to Warzone 2. But, as of now, there is only a third-person Trios playlist.

How does the third-person work in the game?

When playing in third-person mode, players will be able to see their character from behind, offering a wider filed-of-view to see their surroundings and hunt down enemies nearby.

The third-person mode also allows players to click the stick on the controller to switch between looking over the left or the right shoulder. But this functionality only works when the character is standing still.

When Players aim down sights in third-person mode, the view will be zoomed slightly instead of fully aiming sights which happen when playing in first-person mode. This will happen unless players have equipped their weapon with a scope magnification of more than 4x.
