COD Mobile fans might have something to cheer for in 2022, as new leaks suggest that the game might be getting major upgrades in Battle Royale mode. A screenshot from the game has been doing rounds, showing that COD Mobile has an algorithm for Verdansk.

For the unversed, Veedansk is a map from Call of Duty Warzone and has been in the game since its launch in 2020. It was removed from the title last year and replaced by the Pacific map. However, Verdansk was a fan-favorite among Warzone players and COD Mobile might be getting the map this year.

Rumors already claim that a “Warzone Mobile” will be launched later this year. It is supposed to be a separate title, and COD Mobile will continue as a standalone game. Activision is yet to reveal any details, but content creators have a notion that it is happening.

Verdansk coming to COD Mobile

The current state of the Battle Royale mode in the game isn’t great. Players often complain about bot lobbies even at higher ranks, which hints that not enough players are playing Battle Royale mode. The mode also does not receive as many updates as multiplayer, which affects the popularity of the mode.

If the leaks are true and Warzone is indeed added to COD Mobile, more players might want to play it. The mechanics of the game could also see an overhaul and replicate the PC and console version of Warzone.

This isn’t the first instance Verdansk map’s name has come up in the context of COD Mobile. Earlier, a screenshot from an Activision survey showed a few questions about how players would react to a Verdansk map on the game.

The fans will surely welcome this change when Warzone is released for mobile devices, but if it turns out to be a revamped version like the Blackout map, it might not live up to the hype. Battle Royale players deserve a lot more attention than what the company is currently giving to the mode, and Warzone Mobile could make or break the deal this year.
