VALORANT Patch Notes 4.04: Yoru is back, Controllers are reshaped, And More
The developers have already released information about the upcoming update, including patch notes. Riot has decided to focus more on the order to achieve effective of several agents in this new patch. The long-awaited Yoru rework will be included in this update, along with some significant changes to all Controller agents: Omen, Astra, and Viper
The developers have given Omen some significant buffs in this update. Over the last few tournaments, the ghost agent has had low pick-rates in competitive games. As a result, the developers are attempting to reintroduce Omen to the meta by showering him with affection.
Omen is a Valorant controller agent with some unique abilities such as Dark Cover (E), Paranoia (Q), Shrouded Steps (C), and From the Shadows (X).
However, Omen’s pickrate in competitive matches has significantly decreased in recent months, and the agent has been ignored by the majority of teams in every tournament. Riot is ready to make the changes with the upcoming patch 4.04 to keep their promise. The following are the changes made to the Omen:
These changes will almost certainly have an impact on Omen’s pick-rate in Valorant competitive matches. Smoke’s cooldown and speed will be reduced, making the agent more viable in high-intensity battles. Omen can also be a good pick after the nerfs to Astra and Viper in this new update.
The long-awaited Yoru rework is here and only time will tell if Riot was successful in making the highly underwhelming agent finally worthy of a pick in the competitive meta.
