Valorant maps: map locations, release date, map layout, and more

Valorant currently has seven different maps for players to battle on. Each map is set in a different place on Future Earth, they feature different layouts, and much more. Here’s everything you need to know about all Valorant maps.

Valorant players require a few things to experience the game, one of them is maps for them to jump into and battle other players. We’ve compiled a list of all the Valorant maps and how to access them.

Bind

This map is located in Rabat, Morocco and its beta was released on April 7, 2020. Bind features teleporters that let players rotate from one point to another and vice versa.

Haven

The Haven map is located in Thimphu, Bhutan, and was released on April 7, 2020. It is Valorant’s only three-map bomb site, making it an interesting map to play for both sides, especially for defenders. Haven is set in a monastery in Bhutan, with the central shrine marking the B bomb site.

Split

The map is set in Tokyo, Japan, and was rolled out on April 7, 2020. It is set at a high-speed railway station and packs several verticality and ziplines that makes it difficult for attackers to push onto either site. It’s Valorant’s only map that clearly favors the defenders.

Ascent

Ascent is set in Venice, Italy, and was released on June 2, 2020. It was the first Valorant map rolled out after the game’s beta. Ascent is one of the most mid-dominant maps and allows for easy rotation from site to site.

Icebox

The map is located in Bennett Island, Russia, and was released on October 13, 2020. It is set in northern Russia and offers many interesting angles for both sides. It features horizontal zip lines and doesn’t feature many places to hide.

Breeze

The map is set in the Atlantic Ocean and was rolled out on April 27, 2021. The map offers two huge bomb sites and a lot of ways to approach them. Players can approach them through big chokes or tiny corridors.

Fracture

The Fracture map is located in New Mexico, USA, and was released on September 8, 2021. This map was a great take on a traditional tactical FPS map, enabling attackers to rotate from one side to another with an underground zipline.
