Getting bored of Valorant or missing Counter-Strike? Well, you can always uninstall the Riot Game’s tactical shooter Valorant. The game is definitely not for everyone. It’s a game where players need to be patient, determined and a lot of practice.
At times, it can be slower-paced compared to other games such as Overwatch, Call of Duty, and even Counter-Strike. And it’s likely that it will take a toll on some players. So, how do you uninstall Valorant? Well, it’s not as easy as it sounds.
Players will have to jump into the control panel and click uninstall, they’ll be faced with an error message. These are a few extra steps players need to take before uninstalling Valorant.

Valorant’s anti-cheat detection system called Vanguard needs to be closed and uninstalled first. Players can close Vanguard by opening their system tray, found on the bottom right-hand side of their desktop. By right-clicking on the red Vanguard icon, players can select exit.
They will get a pop-up message saying if they want to “turn off” Vanguard. They will have to click Yes. When it is closed, they’ll be able to uninstall both Vanguard and the game easily. Players can do this by pressing the Windows key or clicking the Windows icon on the taskbar. They’ll have to type “Add or remove programs” there and press enter.
Then, they’ll have to scroll down to “Riot Vanguard,” right-click and uninstall. The game will finally be uninstalled.
If you wish to know more about Valorant, the game features a cast of characters, called agents, bringing distinct personalities and flavor to the title. Each agent brings a unique set of abilities and playstyles. As of now, there are 18 agents in the game, covering 4 classes – Duelists, Controllers, Initiators, and Sentinels.
