The latest episode of Tokyo Revengers season 2 episode 9, titled “The Dawning of a New Era,” finally concludes the long-awaited battle between Toman and the Black Dragon. As the battle reached its climax, Mikey, the leader of Toman, arrives at the scene to turn the tide of the fight in his gang’s favor.

Mikey’s Impulses and Taiju’s Strongest Punch

The episode opens with Mikey confessing to his friends about the impulses he has been feeling since his brother and Baji’s death. His friends, including Takemichi, are left confused about Mikey’s state of mind. As they try to process his emotions, Taiju, the leader of the Black Dragon, knocks him down with his strongest punch.

Inui’s Backstory and the Rise of the Black Dragon

As the battle continues, Inui steps forward to warn Mikey about Taiju’s strength. He then reveals his past with the Black Dragon and how he hoped to revive the gang with himself as the leader. However, after Taiju beat him up, he named him as the new leader of the Black Dragon. This led to Koko’s recruitment, and soon after, the gang was revived.

After Inui’s backstory, Mikey gets up, ready to fight Taiju. He quickly knocks him out with his flying dynamite kick, shocking everyone. As Taiju tries to send his 100 Black Dragon soldiers to fight the Toman members, Koko witnesses their defeat at the hands of Draken, who walks in just in time to end the fight. The Black Dragon’s defeat left Taiju in a state of shock, as he had underestimated the strength of Toman and their allies.

Victory and Celebration

With the Black Dragon defeated, Toman emerges victorious, and Takemichi and his friends celebrate their success. Hakkai and Yuzuha vow never to submit to Taiju again, while Mikey assures Takemichi that he has changed and his friends keep him strong. Mikey then takes Takemichi to Hinata, where the latter is knocked out and taken to the garden in front of Hinata’s home.
