Chainsaw Man Manga Chapter 121: Yoshida’s actions left Asa in confusion, as she struggled to understand why he was acting this way

Yoshida led Asa to the council room of the Devil Hunter’s Club where he offered her some coffee. Asa was surprised, wondering why Yoshida was taking time out of his busy life as a public devil hunter to spend with her. She couldn’t help but assume that Yoshida had feelings for her. When asked about what she was mumbling at the school gates, Asa revealed that she had been contemplating living a life of solitude. Yoshida agreed, acknowledging that in today’s world, single individuals can achieve as much success as those in a relationship.

Asa took his words as a hint of his affection for her. She eagerly anticipated Yoshida’s confession but instead, he pleaded with her to keep her distance from Denji. When Asa asked him why, he refused to explain further, leaving her to ponder about his cryptic request.

Yoshida’s actions left Asa in confusion, as she struggled to understand why he was acting this way. Despite her curiosity, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that there was something more significant to his request than what he let on. She couldn’t help but wonder what secrets lay beneath Yoshida’s tough exterior, and whether there was something dangerous lurking in the shadows that she was unaware of.

Asa walked down the street feeling dejected and defeated. The pain of being turned down a second time was too much to bear. She couldn’t help but think that maybe a life of loneliness was better than constantly experiencing heartbreak. As she walked, she grew more frustrated and started to belittle herself, saying that she had no redeeming qualities and that her desire for love was arrogant.

Suddenly, a voice spoke out to her, surprising her. It was the war devil, Yoru. He tried to comfort her, telling her that she was too harsh on herself. Asa confided in him, expressing her tiredness of being unable to maintain a healthy relationship. Her words left Yoru stunned and silent, and Asa even went as far as saying that she was better off dead.

Yoru couldn’t bear to see her in so much pain and told her that she was wrong. He told her that everyone had something to offer and that she was no exception. He encouraged her to love herself first before seeking love from others. Asa listened to his words, and for the first time, she began to see a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, she could find love and be happy.

Asa was heading towards her apartment complex when she saw the lifeless body of a man nearby. Suddenly, Yoru took over, instructing Asa to stay put as she observed the entire complex staring at them. Every resident was standing at their doorway, eyes fixed on the two of them.
