Fans of Demon Slayer can finally mark their calendars as Crunchyroll announces the official release date for the highly-anticipated third season of the popular anime series. Titled “Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Swordsmith Village Arc,” the upcoming season will debut on Crunchyroll on April 9, 2023, in all regions where the streaming platform is available. Demon Slayer Season 3 have been announced

“Demon Slayer” has been a global phenomenon since the release of the “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” film, which broke box office records in 2021. The popularity of the franchise only continued after the successful second season in 2022, which received critical acclaim and numerous awards at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. With high expectations and anticipation, fans are eagerly waiting to see if the third season will live up to its predecessors.

The upcoming season picks up where season two left off, with Tanjiro travelling to the Swordsmith Village to repair his damaged Nichirin sword. Tanjiro will meet up with two Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji and Muichiro Tokito, also known as the Love and Mist Hashira, respectively. Only a few skilled swordsmiths are capable of repairing Nichirin swords, and the swordsmith who made Tanjiro’s sword is notoriously miserly. Tanjiro’s encounter with the swordsmith will be a challenging one as he tries to convince him to fix his sword. Adding to the already tense situation, a looming threat outside the village could potentially cost the Demon Slayer Corps everything.

Fans who were lucky enough to attend the theatrical event in March were able to watch the first episode of the third season alongside the final episodes of season two. Reports suggest that the first episode lived up to fans’ expectations and set the tone for the upcoming season. The third season will be simulcast with its Japanese debut in subtitled form, allowing viewers to watch new episodes as soon as they are released in Japan.

With its stunning animation, action-packed fight scenes, and emotionally compelling storylines, “Demon Slayer” has captivated audiences worldwide. The upcoming third season is set to continue the tradition of excellence that the franchise has established, and fans cannot wait to see what’s in store for Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps.

“Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Swordsmith Village Arc” will premiere on Crunchyroll on April 9, 2023, in all regions where the streaming platform is available. Fans of the series can look forward to another thrilling season full of action, suspense, and heartwarming moments. Whether the third season will live up to the high bar set by its predecessors remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: fans will be eagerly watching every episode.
