Various Overwatch 2 gamers showed dissatisfaction with the Battle For Olympus event, saying that it needed great amounts of grinding on a single arcade mode. Now, the Lunar New Year 2023 event does look very distinct.

This time the event doesn’t revolve around one arcade mode; the Lunar New Year event encompasses three into its challenges. Overwatch 2 gamers can receive several rewards, with the top prize being the Legendary Kkachi skin for Echo.

Challenges of Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year 2023 Event

Five challenges are there in Overwatch 2’s Lunar New Year 2023 event. Unlike the Battle For Olympus, this event integrates three arcade modes. They are Capture the Flag, CTF Blitz, and Bounty Hunter. Gamers must finish four challenges to get the Kkachi skin for Echo.

Checkout the list of challenges and the cosmetic rewards they give below:

  1. Catch the Rabbit – Capture the flag in CTF or CTF Blitz
  2. Auspicious Victories – Win eight games in CTF Blitz (souvenir reward)
  3. Lucky Rabbit – Win six games in CTF or Competitive CTF (name card reward)
  4. Mark of the Rabbit – Win 10 games of Bounty Hunter (spray reward)
  5. Sixth Time’s the Charm – Eliminate the bounty target six times

Gamers have to finish any two of these challenges, they get a Lucky Pouch weapon charm reward. Once gamers finish four, they receive the Kkachi skin for Echo.

While winning 10 games of Bounty Hunter is a relatively tall order, gamers shouldn’t have a hard time finishing the other four if they want to receive the top reward. Also, Overwatch 2’s Capture the Flag mode is one of the decent seasonal game modes, as per many gamers. So, gamers should have a much simpler time than attaining the hundreds upon hundreds of kills required to finish the Battle For Olympus event.
