Due to his numerous viable build paths, which each can lead to very different game strategies, Varus is a unique AD carry in League of Legends. The traditional attack speed build, which prioritises rushing Guinsoo’s Rageblade and maximising the attack speed provided by his passive, is the first option. Additionally, he has a variety of poke builds where you should stack items with lethality and Tear of the Goddess. The ability power build that concentrates on bursting enemies with a combination of his W, Blighted Quiver, and his ultimate, Chain of Corruption, is the last option for the extremely daring. If you need more information about The Ideal LoL supports to pair with Varus then read carefully and don’t forget to share with your friends.

The Ideal supports to pair with Varus in League of Legends:

It can be challenging to choose which support character to pair with Varus in the bot lane because of the wide variety of items available. Here are a few champions and the builds they perform best with when used with the Arrow of Retribution.

LULU

Lulu will be the ideal support to play alongside Varus if he chooses the on-hit build. She can permanently shield him and offers an excellent attack speed steroid. She also possesses the annoying polymorph, which she can use to neutralise any potential engage or threat from the rival team.

Varus shifts from a more poke-heavy playstyle to a more conventional teamfight carry as the game progresses, and Lulu changes along with him. Her W, Whimsy, and E, Help, Pix!, make it simple for the Varus to manoeuvre late-game teamfights and kite his way to victory.

KARMA

While Karma performs many of the same actions as Lulu, because of her longer range, she is more effective at punishing ranged supports. She also has better gank setup tools in case your team has an aggressive jungler. Karma can certainly coexist with Xerath’s attack speed build, but she is probably most effective with his lethality build. Varus and Karma have some of the strongest zone control and poke of any bot lane when combined.

Xerath/Lux

Although it is somewhat unfair to group two champions under one heading, they serve very similar functions as supports. They want to maintain a safe distance from the opposing bot lane, take them out with their long-range poke spells, and then use that pressure to capture tower plates and dragons. Xerath and Lux don’t have great escape tools, especially when they’re pushed far up in the lane, so it’s a riskier lane combination than Karma. You should almost always use the lethality poke Varus build when playing these two.

Blitzcrank

The first melee support on this list is Blitzcrank. Varus is an AD carry with the ability to bully lanes while scaling into a hypercarry later in the game. Because they can bully out melee supports more easily and take control of the lane, ranged supports often pair well with him. Blitzcrank, however, is a fantastic counter when an enchanter is locked in by an enemy support in front of you. This lane has a tonne of kill potential if Blitzcrank hits their Rocket Grab. Varus can deal a lot of burst damage with stacks from Blighted Quiver, regardless of the build you choose. Having said that, this is a lane where you might be able to justify increasing your ability power for the perfect one-shot.

Thresh

Thresh is an entertaining choice because he is just as adaptable as Varus. Thresh can play aggressively and use his hooks to look for picks in a favourable matchup. His lantern is one of the League’s most powerful escape weapons when outran or behind. Due to his three abilities, which can keep opponents within auto attack range, he is particularly effective with attack speed Varus. You benefit more from Lethal Tempo and Guinsoo’s Rageblade as the battle continues. But Thresh can succeed with just about any Varus build because he is such a skilled generalist.
