Both parts will air in 2023; the first section will air on March 3 at 24:25 (effectively March 4 at 12:25 a.m.), while the second part will air later that year. NHK has not specified the duration of each part, but the fact that it refers to the March 3 broadcast as a “special broadcast” suggests that each part may be an anime special rather than a number of episodes. The anime’s trailer is being streamed on Pony Canyon. On NHK, a special seven-part animation anthology will be broadcast over three nights beginning on February 25.

Attack of the Titan 16 episodes of the anime series The Final Season were broadcast starting in December 2020 on NHK. The anime was available for streaming on both Crunchyroll and Funimation. In January 2021, the anime started showing on Adult Swim’s Toonami channel, while Funimation started streaming an English dub the following month.

Attack on Titan the Final Season Part 2 debuted with episode 76 on the NHK General channel on January 9 and ran for 12 episodes. The second episode was broadcast on Crunchyroll and Funimation as it aired in Japan. April 2013 was the debut of the first television anime season, and April 2017 marked the start of the second. In July 2018 and April 2019, the third season’s first half and second halves, respectively, debuted.

The original Attack on Titan manga, written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, debuted in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shnen Magazine in 2009 and ran through April 2021. The 34th and last volume of the manga were released in June 2021. The manga was published in English both digitally and physically by Kodansha USA Publishing, and the 34th volume was released in October 2021.
