Teaser trailer for the 2023 television anime Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse is released

The television anime adaptation of Nakaba Suzuki’s sequel manga The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse (Mokushiroku no Yon-Kishi) for a 2023 premiere will be produced by Telecom Animation Film, according to the account for The Seven Deadly Sins anime that was officially launched on Twitter on Wednesday. Percival, the protagonist, will be voiced by Shou Komura. Production and planning are handled by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS. In January 2021, Suzuki published the first issue of the manga in Weekly Shnen Magazine. The manga is being published by Kodansha Comics both physically and digitally at the same time in English. The first book is described by the corporation as follows:

Percival’s family has always resided on God’s Finger, a secluded island perched high above the clouds, where Percival has lived with his grandfather. A secret desire of his is for adventure, despite the fact that he likes a peaceful life. But a stranger who has a startling link to Percival pulls all he has ever known away, altering his existence for the rest of time.

Percival embarks on a solo journey since he is left with no choice but to find the person who stole everything from him. The sheltered child learns along his travels that there are numerous aspects of everyday life that he is unaware of. He is fortunate to make friends along the road who can support him, but how will they feel when they learn about Percival’s fate and how it relates to the end of the world?

The tenth volume of the manga’s collected works was released by Kodansha on January 17. The seventh volume will be issued on February 28 by Kodansha USA Publishing after the sixth volume was released on November 15th.

Beginning in Kodansha’s Weekly Shnen Magazine in 2012 and concluding in March 2020, Suzuki’s original The Seven Deadly Sins manga was published. The 41st and last volume of the manga was released by Kodansha in May of that year. The manga is available in print and digital form from Kodansha Comics in English. As new chapters were released in Japan, Crunchyroll posted them online.

2014 and 2015 saw the debut of the franchise’s first 24-episode television anime series. Later, the series was available on Netflix to stream in both English and Japanese, and Funimation split it into two parts for home video. The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War, an anime television special comprised of four episodes, debuted in August 2016. In February 2017, the series was made available on Netflix. The second television anime series, The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments, made its debut in January 2018, and Netflix started streaming it in October 2018. In August 2018, the anime movie Prisoners of the Sky: The Seven Deadly Sins debuted in Japan.

The third television anime series, The Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of The Gods (Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin), debuted in October 2019 and ran through March 2020. The anime started airing on Netflix in August 2020.

The most recent television anime in the series, The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement (Nanatsu no Taizai: Fundo no Shinpan), debuted in Japan in January 2021 on TV Tokyo. The anime was made available on Netflix in June 2021. A brand-new, original anime movie called The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light (Nanatsu no Taizai: Hikari Ni Norowareshi Mono-Tachi) premiered in Japan in July 2021. The movie was made available on Netflix in October 2021.

The two-part anime film adaptation of the series, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh (Nanatsu no Taizai: Ensa no Edinburgh), revolves around Meliodas’ son Tristan and has a new, original plot. On December 20, the first chapter of the movie had its global Netflix debut. August will see the release of the second instalment.
