Team Liquid is a professional esports organization founded in the Netherlands in 2000. Originally a Brood War clan, the team switched to StarCraft II during the SC2 Beta in 2010, and became one of the most successful foreign teams. Since it is an old organization the fan following is huge and it has capitalized with time by entering various esports markets at the correct time. Team Liquid’s website (TeamLiquid.net) is ranked as the most viewed website for gaming content. Some of the games that can be seen on the website are Brood War, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Dota 2, Super Smash Brothers: Melee, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch and Counter-Strike. It is sponsored by big names like Monster Energy, SAP, Honda, Twitch, Jersey Mike’s Subs, HyperX, Secretlab and Huya.
On August 7, 2020, Team Liquid entered VALORANT by signing fish123 with a roster consisting of ec1s, soulcas, Kryptix, L1NK, ScreaM and Sliggy as coach. Team Liquid also signed cauzed as the team’s manager. On February 24th 2021, Team Liquid benched ec1s and signed the young talent Jamppi. Then on September 25th 2021, Team Liquid announced that Kryptix was taking a personal break and Nivera joined the team in his place.
