Cloud9 is a North American esports organization currently fielding a North American team and also previously a South Korean team in VALORANT. The company was originally founded as a professional League of Legends team founded by Jack and Paullie Etienne in May 2013 and was incorporated into Cloud9 Esports, Inc. on September 6, 2016. They also feature players and teams in Hearthstone, Halo, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Fortnite, and Wild Rift. Cloud9 manages the London Spitfire spot in the Overwatch League. In October 2020, Cloud9 formed their first all-female esports team for Valorant, known as Cloud9 White, their original Valorant roster competes under the name Cloud9 Blue.

Team and Roster

Cloud9 announced its entry to Valorant on April 12, 2020, by signing its first player, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo on the Valorant roster. Following that they signed Relyks, Mitch, shinobi and vice. The first original player to depart from Cloud9 Blue was Josh “Shinobi” Abastado (in-game leader at the time), who was dropped from the team on December 11, 2020. The next player who left the team was TenZ, who stepped down from the competitive scene to pursue content creation (while remaining as part of Cloud9) on January 12, 2021. Two months later, Vice was dropped on March 16, 2021. TenZ left Cloud9 on March 11 to play for Sentinels in the VCT Masters event. Relyks then left officially on April 16, 2021. The team is currently managed by Ysabel “Noukky” Müller.
