The latest Research Day in Pokémon Go features players prospecting for gold alongside a few highlighted Pokémon.  From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time, Searching for Gold Research Day will take place as a special occasion to introduce the Hidden Gems season. There will be a tonne of content related to the event, such as PokéStops turning gold on their own and sporadic appearances by Roaming Gimmighoul.

There are many other Pokémon appearing as well, but Caterpie, Magikarp, Nosepass, Sableye, and Barboach are the five featured Pokémon for this event.
