Skyesports League 2021 Day 7 saw absolute class play from Rajasthan Strikers against the reigning champions– Hyderabad Nawabs. Considering the League has just completed its first week, both teams had remained undefeated before this match. Hyderabad won their last two series against Bengaluru Crushers and Punjab Pinnacles, while Rajasthan Strikers demolished Punjab Pinnacles 3-0.

The match between Rajasthan Strikers and Hyderabad Nawabs was a critical stepping stone since the game was the tournament’s first ever 13-0 sweep. Within the blink of an eye, the Valorant round was over, and continuing the momentum, Rajasthan took home all the three games.

Both teams are considered to be the top contenders of the game since they were undefeated in the series before this match. After the end of the first week, the table looks very refreshing with Rajasthan Strikers on the top spot with 5 points. Delhi Dragons were the first one to get a bonus point of 0.5, and they stand at the second place with 4.5 points. Inching closer are Hyderabad Nawabs who are at the third spot with 4 points.

Who will be the MVP of Skyesports League 2021

After the end of the first week, there has been a huge shuffle in the Most Valuable Player contenders. At one point in time, DEATHMAKER from Kolkata Tridents was at the top of the list with 137 kills. He has now been dethroned by Delhi Dragon’s SMX who has 164 kills.

In a brief conversation with SportsLumo, Shiva Nandy, CEO, Skyesports said “Rajasthan Strikers, Kolkata Tridents will do some magic this season, apart from that all teams are equally balanced. Let’s see.”

Shiva has been a front runner when it comes to promoting the esports scene in the country. The main aim he had with the Skyesports League 2021 was that he wished to take it to the level of IPL.Â
