Skate 4’s first gameplay clip is out and shows some new elements in the game. In the last 10 years, Skate 4 has been one of the most anticipated games. After Skate 3 was released in 2010, the EA franchise drifted away, leaving fans wondering if it will ever return. In 2020, EA announced Skate 4, but no further details were revealed. The game is expected to be released on PlayStation 5, One X, and PC.

Skate 4 release date

The game is currently under playtesting and some footage has surfaced online in almost 2 years. The footage is rough around the edges as the game is still in the production stage. The setting is incomplete and soundtracks from the third game have also been reused.

The video shows the player doing front flips, implying that there would be more motion mechanics than just skating. There are other players in the distance, which could mean that the game will have broad areas compared to its predecessor.

Considering the large hills and general layout, this city appears to be based in San Francisco. EA has no plans for its summer showcase this year, so it’s uncertain when the game will be shown off again. As per the company, the game will be released shortly, but they didn’t say anything else.

The second and third entries in the game had everything meant for skating. Therefore, a new game should enable players to find out what could be skated and develop an eye for creating new spots, rather than just having a handy rail and ramp lying on the street.

Full Circle, a new studio newly founded by EA, is developing the upcoming game, slated to a sequel as well as a relaunch.
