Following Paris Legion’s elimination from the ongoing Major on May 27, all eight teams competing in this year’s Call of Duty League Championship Playoffs are now known. It took until the penultimate matchday of the Call of Duty League’s regular season to determine which eight teams would move on to compete for the championship ring the following month after six months of Call of Duty.
Finalists for the CDL Playoffs included Atlanta FaZe, OpTic Texas, Toronto Ultra, New York Subliners, Los Angeles Thieves, Minnesota RKKR, Boston Breach, and Seattle Surge. If you need more information about Seattle securing the final spot in the $2.3 million tournament, and locking in the CoD Champs teams, then read carefully, and don’t forget to share with your friends.
Only Las Vegas Legion, who finished ninth, remained in contention for one of the coveted top eight qualification spots as the latter three made their way to Toronto, Canada, for Major Five. However, the Legion would only receive 10 CDL points after a 0-3 loss to the New York Subliners on Saturday, which would be insufficient to defeat Minnesota, Boston, or Seattle.

The four teams with completed CDL seasons are Las Vegas Legion, Florida Mutineers, Los Angeles Guerrillas, and London Royal Ravens. All four of these teams have also already been eliminated from the current Major. Atlanta FaZe has locked up the top seed at the CDL Playoffs for the fourth consecutive year on the other end of the table as a result of OpTic Texas’ early exit on Friday without a map win.
The Call of Duty League playoff tournament, which has a $2.3 million prize pool and runs from June 15 to June 18, will be the season’s final competition. All eight teams will be vying for the championship, but OpTic Texas will garner the most attention because it has yet to win a Major this year despite finishing second in Majors Three and Four and winning three of the five online stages, including a perfect stage four and stage.
They will be the team to watch in Vegas because they are currently experiencing a nightmare Major Five and Damon “Karma” Barlow is vying for a record-breaking fourth championship title after rejoining the team as a coach.
With Boston Breach being the lone exception, seven of the eight teams have either won a Major or placed first in the Major qualifiers this year, so there is a lot of competition. As Minnesota, FaZe, Toronto, and NYSL compete in Major Five’s championship Sunday tomorrow, May 28, the final seedings will be decided.
