Rocket League is one of the most exciting and fun free-to-play games available on all platforms. Enjoying the game online with friends is a great experience, but players can also play Rocket League locally with the split-screen option.

Split-screen is available in the game on all platforms, although each has its own set of requirements and restrictions. Players will be required to connect a second controller and press the start button to join a match. Player two must log into another account or guest account, depending on the platform they are playing Rocket League.

Xbox and PlayStation players must log into a PSN or Xbox Live account to play split-screen online. Signing into a guest account enables players to play offline modes together, but they cannot play against other players that are available online. Player two can enter the game by pressing the options or menu button on their controller.

Nintendo Switch players will be required to connect a second controller and press the + button. For Switch, players do not require a second online account to play Rocket League, so two players can play split-screen with one Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

PC players can also play Rocket League split-screen, but this format won’t let players make use a mouse and keyboard. Two controllers must be connected, and the second player needs to press the start button to play split-screen. Both players will be able to play online together using the same account.

Playing split-screen in Rocket league is easy. Players just need to remember that some consoles have restrictions on the game modes players can play using the same account.
