Rocket League Sideswipe, a mobile version of the car-based soccer game, is now available for download on Android and iOS devices. The game started rolling out on November 15 in Oceania, but can now be downloaded across the globe. The game is a “pre-season” mode ahead of Season 1’s kickoff at a later date that is yet to be announced, reports 9to5Google.

The free-to-play game that was announced in March, is a trimmed-down version of the original Rocket League released in 2015. The biggest difference in the mobile version is that is played in 2D, rather than offering a fully 3D stadium to drive the car around. Players control their car with a virtual joystick on the left side of the screen, while buttons on the right side offer controls to jump and boost.

Unlike the original Rocket League, in the mobile version the car’s boost auto-regenerates, so there’s no requirement to look for recharging pads, and teams are restricted to a maximum of two players on each side. Available game style includes Rocket League’s standard soccer mode and a basketball-style “Hoops” version. If you’re someone who wants to enjoy the mobile version of the game, visit the Apple App Store or the Google PlayStore now.

Psyonix-developed Rocket League has been popular among the fans and there are a few games that offer you similar gameplay. While the game is simple, it offers endless concepts.
