Obviously, with the LEC and VCT EMEA being on the same schedule, the two cannot share a studio. Additionally, official legitimate events and stages have been attempting to carve out their own style and feel over the past two years, which is distinct from Pro League of Legends events.The VCT EMEA team also officially revealed the format for the inaugural season next year. The league will feature a single round-robin format taking place over eight weeks, with matches taking place on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with the exception of a single super week. Each team will play nine matches, one against all the other nine competitors.

The top six teams in the league will play in a modified double-elimination bracket. A currently unknown number of top teams from the VCT EMEA Playoffs will advance to Masters events in June, followed by the Last Chance Qualifiers in July and finally the Champions in August. Additionally, Challengers will coincide with the VCT EMEA programme, culminating in an Ascension tournament in July where a team will earn a two-year promotion slot to VCT EMEA the following year.
In the coming years, the International VCT League would include two regular season divisions. But for the inaugural season in 2023, the first division will be replaced by the São Paulo Kickoff Event.To do this, we’re creating the best possible place for talent to shine, heroes to be forged, and legends to be made.
