According to the press release, a partnership between Valorant developers Riot Games and B2B software company GRID has enabled the release of a new data portal for competitive teams, with a match replay system on the cards. The release of the data portal will allow competitive teams to access detailed data from official eSports matches, including the ability to retrieve data from their own scrims. The match replay file can also be downloaded in the graphic provided by GRID of the portal. Riot Games And Grid Launch VALORANT Data Portal:

The portal is being launched for all the 30 participating VCT teams from across the globe. Each team will have access to the portal to allow teams to gain greater insight into their squad’s performance without having to rely on other services or manual checks. But plans to share Portal with the wider Valorant player base will be rolled out at a later date as per the release. So players may be able to get statistical knowledge of their own games and even get their demos to look back on.

According to Riot Games, an important part of the partnership with GRID Esports is to provide the community with an official source of reliable data for VALORANT. In addition, Riot is partnering with sports agencies to monitor all official matches for potential integrity risks as part of a broader effort to ensure a level playing field for all teams.

“We are excited to be working with GRID on crafting the future of esports data for the VALORANT Champions Tour,” lead of competitive data programs for esports at Riot Games John Knaus said about the acquisition. “GRID as a partner is highly aligned with our goals around data accessibility and Riot’s core values. The VALORANT Data Portal is the first step in our shared vision for how we make official VALORANT data more broadly available, starting with our professional teams.”

It is reported that the data is completely secure, while access to personal information is done through a secure API or user interface. Interestingly, the creation of the Valorant Data Portal is announced last March by GRID Esports and Riot Games following a two-year partnership between the parties. As part of the deal, GRID Esports was tasked with creating “innovative experiences” and using data to distribute data resources across global and regional tournaments.

The replay system has been heavily requested by the Valorant community for some time now. Last month VALORANT lead Ana Donlon said a replay system is in development, but it looks like professional players can gain access before the public with a third-party GRID portal.

“The VALORANT Data Portal is the first step in our shared vision of how to make official VALORANT data more widely available, starting with our professional teams.” Elsewhere, GRID expanded its relationship with publisher and developer Valve to provide data services for the Dota 2 Lima Major and renewed its existing partnership with eSports betting platform Pinnacle for the remainder of the year.
