Polkastarter is holding the first Web3 Gaming Awards ceremony on December 15th, officially named the “Game3 Awards”. The event will be the first of its kind to feature an official voting board, featuring some of the top names from across the gaming industry.Games released on the blockchain in 2022 will have a chance to gain greater recognition from both the media and gamers. The event featured judges Justin Kahn (Twitch & Fractal Founder), Itai Elizur (Market Across), Urvit Goyal (Polygon Studios), Rachel Levin (ImmutableX) and Matt Sorg (Solana Foundation). As you can see the panel features statistics from some of the leading names in the industry in Web3 gaming!
The votes cast will be based on a number of factors :
There are a total of 16 categories that are being judged. categories are :
There are respectable types of games available, role playing, card games, eSports, etc. along with other categories, to name a few.Voting will be split into 90% of the juries we’ve listed above and then 10% of voters who can cast their votes through the awards official website.
The ‘Game of the Year’ award will be entirely decided by the panel and then other awards like ‘Players’ Choice Award’ and ‘Best Content Creator’ will be decided by the housemates. “We called it the “Games” award with 3, to keep the focus on the actual game, get rid of Web3 jargon and negative connotations, while still paying homage to the underlying Web3 technology that we believe is shaping Will help The future of gaming.”Along with being able to earn bragging rights by attending and voting in the event, game development teams will also have the chance to earn money. This comes from a dedicated prize pool funded by Machinations, Voyager, Ultra, Immutable X and the Blockchain Game Alliance! A total of $300,000 is up for grabs!
We are excited to see the outcome of this award ceremony! Games like The Sandbox, Axi Infinity, Gods Unchained and Phantom Galaxy are in the running to win some of the prizes.
