Before the Sun Squad event ends on April 11, Apex Legends players still have a few days to collect the exclusive items that were released in the game alongside it. They can choose from those items, including Ash’s new Heirloom, which costs about $160 and is the final item left after all the cosmetics for the event have been bought. It’s not a cheap price, and players have expressed dissatisfaction with the calibre of her new item. Ash’s Heirloom is referred to as “pay to lose” by Apex Legends players. A player found yet another issue to be upset about in a recent Reddit thread. If you need more information about Players of Apex Legends refer to Ash’s Heirloom as “pay to lose” then read carefully and don’t forget to share with your friends.

Players of Apex Legends refer to Ash’s Heirloom as “pay to lose”

They posted a video that demonstrated how Ash’s Heirloom was “pay-to-lose” because she could hear her footsteps more clearly on some surfaces because of the cling noises made by her weapon. Ash’s heirloom is supposed to increase stealth in critical situations, but when she is crouching, she makes a lot more noise than she would without it. Players in the thread made comments about how the sound of her footsteps changed depending on where she went. Some claimed that they were louder on sand, grass, and rocks.

Given the high cost of her weapon skin, players might anticipate that it will help them rather than hurt them, making it a “pay-to-lose” skin. Given that it is not the first time that a problem has been brought up, players have responded to that video strongly. Despite a fun animation she can trigger when inspecting her heirloom, fans felt her nunchaku was underwhelming due to its low visibility when in use.

They now ask Respawn to “fix” Ash’s Heirloom skin in order to address the issue. Players now only have four days to obtain the expensive item, and it’s still unclear whether the developer will respond.

Given that EA recently let go of over 200 game testers, specifically from the Apex Legends division of the company, it might not be all that surprising that new items aren’t as polished as they once were.

Even so, some players have been pushed too far and have abandoned Ash. One supporter on Reddit wrote, “As an Ash main, it’s time to find a new Assault main.” The improper integration of premium skins into video games has happened before. Due to its stunning Oni Katana weapon skin’s size, which revealed players’ positions, it had previously come under fire for being pay-to-lose.

It will be the last week of the Collection event. Fans of Apex will then have to wait until April 25 to learn about the following one, Veiled. Although there hasn’t been much information released about the event, leaks suggested that many other exclusive cosmetics would also be available, as well as a new Mythic skin for Caustic.
