Overwatch 2 season two introduced a series of changes that took shook the Blizzard hero shooter’s meta. While the new game was seen by some as a similar title to the first installment, more changes are coming to the new game as players go deeper into the new seasons.

Season two mostly brought changes to the tank and DPS meta, and with new maps coming in, OW2 players finally got what they were waiting for. Apart from these changes, the new battle pass offered players new ways to express themselves in the game.

The battle pass came with 80 different tiers, featuring skins, sprays, weapon charms, and victory poses. The new elements added some spice to the gameplay, but sadly these cosmetics are already on their way out. Which brings everyone to question, when is season two coming to an end? When is Overwatch 2 season two ending?

OW2 season two kicked off on Tuesday, December 6, marking the beginning of the holiday season. Now, since the holiday season has ended, players are prepping for a transition into Overwatch 2 season three. The third season is expected to kick off on February 7, 2023, as per when the ongoing battle pass is set to expire.

Well, players shouldn’t worry, as the next OW2 battle pass comes with 80 more tiers of cosmetics to fill the void that season two will leave in players’ hearts. Players will be rewarded for all the time they have spent in Bronze, grinding through consecutive matches of DPS Morias with a battle pass fit for them.

Every Overwatch 2 season stays for a nine-week stint that allows players just enough time to gather as many tiers as they can before the battle pass expires. The first season started on October 4, and came to an end on December 6, kicking off the release date of the second season and its ranked season.

With season two coming to an end, Overwatch 2 players will be preparing for changes that will mix up the meta for at least another month or more than that.

How to fix the unexpected server errors in Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 players should start following the game on platforms like Twitch and YouTube. The unexpected server error occurs due to system overload when many players try to join the game. Since this is a server-side error, players can try joining another game and hope they do not get the same error message there as well.

While resetting the game might fix the issue, it could be simply because of the time taken to retry the queue again. Due to this, the best bet for players, for now, is to be patient and try again while the server’s issues are worked out during the beta.
