What is Overwatch 2?

Overwatch 2 is a first-person shooter game published by Blizzard Entertainment in 2022. As a series to the 2016 hero shooter Overwatch, the game aims at a shared surrounding for player-versus-player (PvP) modes while disclosing lasting cooperative modes. A main change in PvP modes was to lessen team sizes from six to five. Various powerful characters were also revised. Overwatch 2 is free-to-play on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in early access on October 4 and features full cross-platform play.

In a new stream with Twitch streamers Emongg and Flats, Overwatch 2’s Lead Hero Designer Alec Dawson clarified that the team is searching into revising ultimates in a forthcoming patch.

As per the Dawson, the regularity of specific ultimates is something that the team is examining and think there are some heroes who acquire their most intense capability far too rapidly.

“We were taking a look earlier at which heroes are casting their ultimate too much or casting their ult too little. So, we got a good data set there to take a look at. Across the board a lot of small changes.” Dawson started. Dawson also stated that ultimate charge retainment would be receiving some modifications too. Now, when gamers change heroes, they can maintain as much as 30% of their charge based on who they swap to.

As Flats stated, the tank role in specific has some problems with the ultimate retainment as it is with how it occasionally looks like a game of rock, paper, scissors on the basis of what heroes you’re up against. The maker did imply that while the team believe it’s crucial for gamers to swap heroes and nicer influence the result of the fight.

While Dawson didn’t stated when these modifications would be arriving, Season 3 is ready to start in early days of February, so don’t be shocked to see these revamped ultimate rates take impact in some weeks.
