Overwatch 2’s lead hero designer, Alex Dawson, has provided fans with some information about the developer team’s plans to change to Mercy’s kit with Season 4, which is slated to kick off soon.

The character doesn’t stay away from the limelight for long, as she has already witnessed a lot of adjustments throughout Overwatch 2 already. Her balance changes in Season 3 has caused some confusion among players of the game.

Alec Dawson is also suggesting that more changes are coming to mercy in the upcoming season 4, and that she is not at a place they would like her to be in even after extensive changes.

Overwatch 2 Mercy changes

Mercy is among the most controvesial heroes in Overwatch 2’s long and decorated history over the alst 7 years. Her ultimate getting altered was a highly contested change back in the original title, and conversations around here balance haven’t concluded even with Overwatch 2.

It’s difficult to guage whether the changes that the developers bring to the game is cooking up for mercy and simple changes, buffs, nerfs, or a combination of all of them.

“Yes we are looking at Mercy, yes we are looking at making some changes. Perhaps at Season 4,” said Dawson. “We are looking at that healing and the 50% bonus to low health targets and how while that does something I think very good for Mercy, it is very strong.”

The gaming community is split on this information, as some players think mErcy needs to be reverted to her state pre-latest changes.

Overwatch 2 season four release date

Overwatch 2 Season 3 is almost at its end. Hopefully, every gamer has been through all 80 tiers of the battle pass and received the glorious Amaterasu Kiriko skin. The season has been patchy, filled with glitches, but somehow still managing to be an enjoyable FPS.

Season four is just around the corner, and players will most likely have to wait a few more days, April 11, 2023, for the latest season of the game to change the game. The latest season will feature 80 battle pass tiers with a mythic hero skin as the ultimate reward for gamers willing to spend some time grinding.

Season three started on February 7 and brought meta-defining changes to many of the game’s tanks. Doomfist saw a major boost, becoming one of the main picks within the community after nerfs took tanks like Roadhog and Orisa down a little bit.

Prepare your favorite heroes to be nerfed into oblivion as the new season is about to begin. If it’s anything like season three, we will likely see mass changes across the board. Let’s hope Overwatch 2 season four will be a glitch-free update. The last thing anyone wants is more bugs with our favorite tanks, DPS, and supports.
