One of the most awaited Valorant announcements in the Indian gaming community has finally been made by Orangutan Gaming as it unveiled its new lineup for the 2023 competitive season. The change comes after a turbulent season last year where the organization failed to make a mark on the scene. Now, all set to return, “the time has finally come, after almost a year of ups and downs, we are finally ready to fight back.”

2022 comes to a close with Orangutan Gaming without any players on its Valorant roster after a disappointing run through the competitive circuit. But instead of taking a step back, the organization has doubled down by announcing a new lineup and gearing up for the current season. The new set of players includes three Indians and two Filipinos, making it an international team that is ticking a lot of the right boxes on paper.

The first four players have originally made their way over from Enigma Gaming, who parted ways with their entire Valorant lineup last December, despite having a stellar season where it was slated to compete in the VCT 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers. Got a chance ,Players have already played a lot of Valorant together, grown into a great cohesive unit over time, and will look to further hone their skills under the banner of Orangutan Gaming.

The new Valorant lineup of Orangutan Gaming for 2023 is as follows,

  3. Rishi “RvK” Vijayakumar
  4. Jm “tesseract” Ignacio
  5. Azis “azys” Nandang

The final piece completing this roster is none other than young Filipino talent Azys, who is making his way up from South Built Esports, a Philippines-based esports organization. Azys competed with his former team for over a year and a half. He will be looking to apply his skills to Orangutan, gain more experience and grow as a player, while trying to establish a name for himself in a new region – South Asia.

The announcement comes after a revamp to the all-female Valorant roster. With two new lineups under its umbrella, Orangutan Gaming has invested heavily in this esports title and will look to achieve some ambitious goals in 2023.
