One Piece Manga Chapter 1076: Old Friends Overview.

Although there is some underlying tension between the two groups, Luffy ultimately agrees to release Lucci and Kaku so they can assist in the fight against the Seraphim.

Zoro voices his skepticism towards Lucci and Kaku, stating that he doesn’t see a future where they would willingly allow themselves to be restrained again after being freed. However, Kaku counters by claiming that they will submit to being cuffed again, leading Luffy to consider helping them despite Zoro’s suspicion. Suddenly, S-Hawk unleashes a powerful flying slash attack, causing Zoro to realize that he is using the Supa Supa no Mi, a Devil Fruit power previously used by Baroque Works agent Daz Bonez. Kaku then uses the situation to appeal for their help in escaping alive, citing his previous actions as proof of his sincerity.

Shaka inquires about the CP0 agents’ mission, and Lucci bluntly admits that they were sent to terminate Vegapunk and his Satellites, which prompts Kaku to chide him for revealing too much information to the enemy. Shaka also asks if Stussy is a target, and Lucci confirms that she is. Nami’s scream interrupts their conversation, indicating that the other Seraphim have been released. Luffy agrees to free the CP0 agents and requests the keys from Shaka, who entrusts their safety to him as long as the Stella is secured. Luffy then asks Lucci if he intends to pursue his friends once the Seraphim are taken care of, and Lucci falls for the taunt, stating that he wants to kill Luffy first before going after his friends.

As S-Bear launches an Ursa Shock attack, Luffy enters Gear Fourth and uses Gomu Gomu no Kong Gun while Lucci assumes his hybrid form and employs Rokushiki Ogi: Rokuogan, striking S-Bear simultaneously. Zoro and Kaku team up to face S-Hawk, utilizing their respective techniques of Santoryu: Rengoku Oni Giri and Rankyaku “Hakurai” to repel him.

Deep within a secret laboratory, shocking news has been uncovered. The agents sent to investigate an island have been imprisoned for two months after being attacked by Sea Beast weapons when they attempted to leave. Even more surprising is the fact that Dr. Vegapunk, who was thought to be responsible, was imprisoned alongside them and claims to have no knowledge of the situation. The Marines are deploying a fleet of 100 ships from branch G-9 to the island, leaving everyone wondering what is happening.

Meanwhile, on a small island port, a young boy begs to join Shanks on his next adventure, but Shanks turns him down due to his hot-headed nature. Shortly after, Shanks and his crew are attacked, and they are forced to fight back. Shanks regrets that it has come to this, but he has no choice since he has recently reunited with two old friends, Dorry and Brogy, who are the former captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates. The giants are happy to help Shanks and offer their assistance in defeating their attacker, Eustass Kid. Shanks sends a message to Kid, demanding that he surrender the Road Poneglyph rubbing he possesses or face the consequences.

As Kid and his crew travel towards the island, they notice that all of the pirate ships they encounter belong to powerful figures who have sworn allegiance to Shanks. Killer warns Kid that their last encounter with Shanks was one-sided and that this time, they may not make it out alive. Kid, however, is not afraid and believes that he will only die if he loses the fight.

The lab’s revelation about the agents’ imprisonment and the deployment of the Marine fleet creates an ominous atmosphere, hinting at the gravity of the situation. Shanks’ reluctance to fight, despite being attacked, shows his regret over his actions and his desire for peace. The inclusion of the two giant friends adds a layer of complexity to the story, as their loyalty to Shanks could potentially put them in danger. Kid’s fearlessness and determination to win the fight are juxtaposed with the caution and warning from his crewmate, Killer.

Overall, the scene is filled with tension, danger, and uncertainty as the characters navigate through a complicated and perilous situation.
